Narrative

From our initial contact with each person, we work one-on-one to fully understand their goals and the physical challenges they face. Next, we determine the assistive technologies (AT) that will best meet their needs. We provide adaptive controls that will enable the person to use their system independently. Our solutions help them work on essential tasks. Tasks may be:

  • communicating with family and caregivers
  • turning on lights
  • adjusting beds and thermostats
  • operating computers or televisions

Once the assistive technology has been installed in the home or health care setting, our team provides step-by-step training. All users—clients, family members and caregivers alike—can learn how to use the equipment to its fullest.

SHARE works to be a lifelong community resource for the many children, adults, families and partner agencies we serve. As people's needs change, we are providing the rehabilitation engineering expertise, assistive technology solutions, training and support that truly transforms lives.

Delivery depends on what's ordered. Will design & build equipment for people who cannot independently communicate. Equipment loaned at no cost to client.
