Narrative

The Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) is the city's Workforce Development Board and school-to-career intermediary. The mission of the PIC is to strengthen Boston's communities and its workforce.  We connect youth and adults with education and job opportunities that align with the needs of area employers.

The PIC’s School-to-Career team connects Boston public high school students with:

  • Summer and school year jobs and internships
  • Job shadows at companies throughout Boston
  • Mock interviews with local professionals
  • Other career awareness and exploration activities
