Organization Narrative
Ethos, formerly Southwest Boston Senior Services, specializes in care management, crisis intervention and nutrition services.
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs has designated Ethos the Aging Service Access Point (ASAP) for southwest Boston and the Elder Protective Services Agency for all of Boston. The Boston Elderly Commission has designated Ethos as Boston’s sole Long-Term Care Ombudsman Agency and as one of three Elder Nutrition Projects.
As a partner in the Eldercare Alliance, Ethos is a co-sponsor of Boston ElderINFO, a citywide information and referral service, and the host agency for Boston Money Management, a volunteer-based check-writing and bill-paying program.
As a partner in the Caregiver Alliance, Ethos is also a provider of caregiver support services. Ethos is a member of the Massachusetts Home Care Association, The Boston Partnership for Older Adults, the Multicultural Coalition on Aging and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Aging Project.
