Organization Narrative

The BenePLAN program provides comprehensive benefits assessment, planning, and assistance to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries, their families and service providers in Massachusetts.

If you are currently receiving Social Security benefits due to disability, you may have questions about returning to work. Our skilled and experienced Community Work Incentive Coordinators (CWICs) can help you make educated employment choices by evaluating your current benefits and explaining how working will affect them.

The BenePLAN team consists of certified CWICs who possess extensive experience in both employment and public benefits. They can provided assistance with: Understanding how working will affect benefits such as Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid (MassHealth) and Medicare, Transitional Assistance, Public Housing, Workers’ Compensation and more.

They can also assist in developing and implementing PASS plans, which can help you meet expenses to achieve your employment goal. They can provide ongoing assistance to help you manage your benefits as you transition into employment. Information and referral on education, training, and rehabilitation services, including Employment Networks.

Services are available throughout Massachusetts and are offered in both English and Spanish.

The BenePLAN team consists of Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWIs) who possess extensive experience in both employment and public benefits and can offer assistance with:

  • Ongoing assistance to help you manage your benefits as you transition into employment

Eligibility/Criteria/Enrollment

Any individual who is receiving public benefits due to disability, who is working seeking work or planning to work between ages of 14 years and 65 years old.
