DLC is a private, nonprofit organization that is the protection and advocacy agency for people with disabilities in Massachusetts. DLC provides information and referral, advice, short-term assistance and legal representation for people with disabilities who have disability-related civil legal issues. DLC also provides training and technical assistance to advocates and attorneys, and has a large selection of community legal education materials on its website. All services are free. There are no income limits for services, but income may be a factor in case acceptance if capacity is limited.
