All for Good was inspired by President Obama and Internet pioneer Craig Newmark, who called on more Americans to serve.  Both saw the need for an online resource to help Americans easily find ways to serve.

Boston CaresInterested in volunteering in Boston, MA? Boston Cares is the region’s largest volunteer mobilizer.  Boston Cares fills more than 20,000 volunteer slots annually. It support more than 165 Greater Boston schools and non-profit agencies.

Executive Office of Elder AffairsThe Executive Office of Elder Affairs offers information on community service opportunities. Chances are available to volunteer, add your service on boards or commissions, or help deliver service to others in need. Friendship Works MATCH-UP volunteers help elderly and disabled persons in the Greater Boston area with almost anything one friend might do for another. Talk together, write letters, pay bills, read aloud, go for walks, help getting to appointments. Offers friendly visiting program, medical escort program, La Cadena de Amistad, and petpals program.

Volunteers of America MassachusettsAll potential volunteers are required to be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers must  complete an application with criminal record check (CORI). They need to attend a group or individual information session prior to volunteering.
