Anorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder identified by a preoccupation for thinness, sought through self-starvation, to the point where one’s health is put in danger. The individual has an intense fear of gaining weight, a distorted body image and weighs less than the 85% of expected normal weight.

Cambridge Eating Disorder Center Support GroupsDrop-In Support Group for the community on the first Tuesday of every month. This complimentary support group is for individuals struggling with an eating disorder, family members of individuals struggling with an eating disorder, and friends of those with eating disorders. The group is intended to provide psycho-education and support.  Free, monthly drop-in support groups also are available for family members of those struggling with an eating disorder. The group is intended to provide support and education for those affected by a loved one’s eating disorder.

McLean’s Klarman Eating Disorders Center – Founded with the generous support of the Klarman Family Foundation, the McLean’s Hospital Klarman Eating Disorders Center (KEDC) provides state of the art treatment for young women ages 16 to 26. Our residential and partial hospital program specializes in the treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder.
